Flows in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta

The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) is charged with preserving, enhancing and restoring the quality of California’s water resources – and ensuring their proper allocation and efficient use for the benefit of present and future generations. One aspect of that mission is determining flow standards for waterways feeding the Delta. Unfortunately, the SWRCB has failed to use science to guide its decisions, recommending arbitrary flow standards that would inflict serious harm on ratepayers and the California economy. Californians deserve a water board that uses data, not groundless assumptions, to govern management of our most precious natural resource.
